Persons and interests

Person

A person represents one contact across your workspace. It can hold:
  • name and address
  • email and phone numbers
  • consent status and legal basis
  • assignments and activities
  • links to one or more interests
Correct person data carefully because it may be visible in several channels, lists, and transactions.

Interest

An interest represents one request by a person for a specific product. It holds:
  • the product
  • qualification field values
  • request and quality status
  • routing readiness
  • exclusive or multi-delivery policy
  • delivery limits and transaction links
Airlead evaluates and distributes interests—not bare person records.

Example: one person, multiple interests

Whether the September request is valid, an idempotent replay, or a duplicate depends on its external ID and the workspace’s duplicate rules.

Why Airlead keeps them separate

This separation allows:
  • contact corrections without rewriting product answers
  • different qualification fields for each product
  • independent routing and delivery history
  • several requests from the same person over time
  • precise duplicate handling

Common questions

If the same email appears again, does Airlead create another person?

Not necessarily. Source configuration, external IDs, and duplicate detection determine whether Airlead reuses, updates, accepts, or rejects data. See Prevent duplicates.

Can one interest be delivered to several buyers?

Yes, when its delivery policy is Multi and delivery slots remain. Exclusive interests are intended for one winning buyer.

What does routing-ready mean?

It means the interest is prepared for delivery evaluation. It does not guarantee delivery: buyer criteria, pool access, capacity, channel settings, and Airlead AI still apply. Next: Products and fields · Understand channels · Understand transaction states
